BEAUTIFUL INGENUITY
The consummate modernist chandelier, this lamp is composed of layers of overlapping “leaves” that produce crisp, glare-free 360-degree light. It is aptly suited to a dining room, entryway, or reception desk.
FUNCTIONAL UNIQUENESS
The unique rows of leaves illuminate the fixture as well as emitting diffused light with a unique pattern. The fixture provides decorative and comfortable lighting. Even with the energy-saving LED variant, the quality of light and atmosphere surrounding the product is kept at the highest level.
ICONIC CLASSIC
It was designed in 1958 for the Langelinie Pavillonen restaurant in Copenhagen, where it still hangs today. It has a world–famous unique sculptural aesthetic and is viewed internationally as an iconic design.
BACKED BY SCIENCE
Its design was carefully based on scientific analysis of a lampshade’s function. The goal of even distribution of light and reduction of glare determined the size, shape, and position of the shades.

DENMARK (September 9, 1894 - January 31, 1967) Having grown up at the turn of the century in a small Danish town without electricity, Henningsen wanted to recreate the soft gas lighting of his youth with his electric fixtures. Composed of concentric tiers of reflective painted metal bands, the PH design was carefully based on scientific analysis of a lamp shade’s function. The goal of even distribution of light and reduction of glare determined the size, shape and position of the shades. It is a testament to the Scandinavian aesthetic – and Henningsen’s genius – that a group of lighting fixtures derived from scientific principles can exude such warmth, elegance and soul.
